Default X with mild build

I'm sure someone has either figured out the cost of a build similar to my desires or has already done one. So, I figured I'd tap the resource.

What did/would i cost you?

I'm thinking Dana 44 front with locker(fan of the detroit), 35-37's, 4.56's gears, 4 inch LA, skids and rock rails.

That would be what I would want right off the bat.

Anyone price a build like this?

Basically build what I have in a CJ, but in a JK...

Dude, that is soooo not a mild build. An RC2.5" with 33's is a mild build! If you are running a Dana 30 up front, it should handle 35's and it can be built up to support 37's, I don't think you need a new axle. The locker s/b done as you regear, the gearing alone will be about $1200 if you have a shop do it. I would think 4.56's will suck running 37's. do you have an Auto or a 6 speed? If it is an auto w/37's, you are going to want 5.13's. If it is a 6 speed, you will want 4.88's at minimum.

Also, buying a D44 to put in an X isn't what it was a year ago. Used to, you could get a D44 for about $1300. I believe they are around $2500 now. If you just have to have a D44 up front, then buy a Rubicon. As for the D30, it can handle 35's and can be built to handle 37's.

I would do the gearing myself. So it would only be what? $600 for the kit.

I still think I'd be ahead with a 2500 axle...gears for 600...tires and rims 1500 to 2000...skids another 1000...

I thought about just getting the Rubi, but I can't find one for less than 31K and the X's are a lot less.
