Default yes essentials

Maybe this has already been discussed but I recently noticed that Jeep got rid of the yes essential seats in the 2010 JK's, Anyone know why? Just curious

Was the seat design changed? or was it dropped due to the new leather option?

I'm not impressed with my Yes seats. They trap dust and junk. My passenger and rear seat are permanently stained red clay. I think they are harder to get clean and more likely to stain than the cloth seats in my LJ.

I never understood why anyone would get them over the vinyl seats.

My Jeep doesn't have the Yes fabric seats but my wife's Grand Caravan does. If they indeed do help repel stains then I could see their value in a minivan that carries messy kids, but personally I prefer the regular cloth seats in the Jeep. The Yes fabric feels stiff to the touch and it seems to generate a lot of static electricity. As I said, though, for a minivan the benefits may outweigh the drawbacks.

I like them. they remind me of the seats in an xterra we used to have.
