Question Yet another MSRP question

OK so I got another question about pricing. At edmonds.com they show you MSRP, invoice, and TMV. So my question is. Does anyone know if that is the true dealer invoice or is it just some number to make you feel like you got a deal?

Yup, it's invoice pricing. Keep in mind it probably doesn't include hold backs and other incentives the dealers get, so they make money even if they sell it at invoice.

I think is the invoice price. The Dealer will show you the invoice if you want to see it.

It will show the MSRP, the invoice, the pp(supplier discout price), and the DC employee price.

The Dealer also gets money back from DC called holdback money. Normally about 3% of the sale. I think it is base on volume of sale and they get the holdback money regardless of sale price.

Most Dealers have plenty of room to give you a deal but their not is the buisiness for good deals for you.

I bought mine at the DC employee price without any problem. I had to Dealer shop to find one that would work with me. I had to drive 1.5 hours away but it was worth the 3,000 i saved.

Thanks for info. I fell pretty good then. I paid invoice + tax, tag. I even had them remove all the hidden fees ie.. prep fees, advertising fees, etc.
I think I did alright.

advertising fees, WOW I wish we could charge our customers for advertising. lol

J&K, you are right, there are no real fees that you should have to pay. I didnt pay anything other than the price of the JK plus applicable sales tax.

also, j&k, where in St. Pete are you???? we have a second house over by the VA hospital on Bay Pines Blvd.

Do you go wheeling over there? I have yet to find a spot but if there is one I think I might need to go down this month

Yeah, I had to laugh at the salesman when he tried to pull that one. I told him "that is the price of doing business."

Close to the tyrone mall.

Yeah, some of the junk they put in there. I don't get too caught up in the this fee. I mainly look at the invoice and what I'm willing to pay whatever that number is. If they want to call it advertising or processing or whatever I don't care as long as I get the price I want.
