Some people spend five minutes looking at a new car before driving it off the lot, I know a guy who looked at a car for an hour and a half. I got a new rubi comming in a couple a weeks. Just curious to hear what people look for....leaks, dents, what else ? Test drive ? Suggestions ?

I hate spending any time at the dealer! So I only check for the things that the dealer is going to say wasn't there when I picked it up, and blame me for, like dings and scratches. My jeep rear bumper had some scarring, lucky my wife noticed, and dealer ordered new plastic bumper cover.

 

Its a good idea to look your jk over very carefully before leaving. its hard to prove dings, scratches, miss alignments after the fact. I hope I'm around when they wash it to check the hard top leak issue.for 30K it better be cherry.

 

I didn't do it with my last purchase........to cold out. But all the rest I take home wash it. They say this is usually find stuff.
