The year was 1989...It was a 1985 CJ-7 Renegade. It was black with red letters and stripes, and chrome wagon wheels. First vehicle I ever owned. I am now on my 9th Jeep.

I bought my first Jeep in 1985 at the age of 15. I was an '74 CJ5. I wish I still had it.

I can't tell you what drew me towards Jeeps in the first place, but I would have to say my favorite Jeep I've seen to date was a AEV built TJ w/ upgraded axles, minimal lift (3 or 4"), 40's, Cummins 4cyl. turbo Diesel. Beyond that Jeep I'd say I'm finally building my own dream Jeep.

Mine would have to be when I was around 11 or so my sisters boyfriend had a CJ5. All black with the loud ass 304 with side exit exhaust. I was hooked and have never owned a vehicle without the seven slot grill. I hope the jeep Im building now will maybe make some kid want one.

The earliest Jeep I can remember thinking was cool was Daisy's white Golden Eagle on Dukes of Hazard. I was a big fan of that show as a kid! (I was fairly young when that show was on, and really didn't have an appreciation for Daisy yet!)

Jeep released the TJ while I was in college, and I looked at them at the time. I couldn't afford them but thought they were really cool. Finally bought one in 2002, a white Sahara, after graduation and finding a well paying job.

I wanted to buy my old 97 TJ back but, my nephew won't sell it back. Nothing special about it just lots of good memories. Now I'm dreaming of my new JK.

The year was 1993 and I was in need of a new vehicle when I saw this white "87 YJ sitting on the corner for sale, I was sold. It was all black & white, but failry plain. It had the I4 engine, not much power, but good torque. I immediatly got to doing mods. I upgraded the tires and rims (can't remember what I put on there, the tires were good, the rims were cheap, white painted, but looked good with the black & white. Added saddle bags, front end cover, switched out the steering wheel & shift knob with nice wood ones. I never did any major suspension mods or the like, but it never once failed me off road. Other mods included a custom lockable trunk and speaker box, seat covers, bikini top, and eventually got a new full cloth top as the vinyl one was was just a piece of crap.

The only time I got stuck was a week after I got it. I had not gotten used to it yet and spun out on the freeway during a snow storm in Chicago. I went in the the median ditch and due to the temp being just below freezing, the ground was muddy not frozen and this was before I upgraded the tires which were pretty much just street tires, so I had no chance to get out until someone with a tow rope came by.

The fond memories include going on my first date with the woman that became my wife. We were going to school in Flagstaff, AX and went to Sedona for the day. We went off roading, which my wife had never done. I dropped the top and removed the doors. She was scared at times, but she really enjoyedherself. She may not say so, but I think she's looking forward to the ew Jeep almost as much as I am.

That was still to this day my favorite vehicle, it saw me through the college years until I got a Cheerokee, which was great until I rolled it. It's been 10 years since I owned a jeep and can't wait for mine to come in. I thought I would never own a Wrangler again or at least until my kids left the house as with 3 kids plus the wife, the 2-doors did me no good.
