Is your Jeep your commuter vehicle?
Mines my dd. Drive 4-500 a week. Had since end of January and have 10, 4XX miles now. That said I've only had 2 rigs that have ever got over 20 mpg ever. On was my 2011 ecoboost f150 would get 16-17 city and 20-23 highway and my custom victory motorcycle that do to cams would get 25 city and 50-60 highway
70+ miles every day. I can't imagine not driving topless and doorless to work every day from may to October. I also can't imagine not having a kick ass snow driver in our winters. I've been dd'ing a wrangler for over 10 years now, no plans of changing anytime soon.
DD here 120km round trip 5 days a week. Selected my lift and tires to match my driving style....I bought my Jeep to DRIVE not sit in the driveway 5 days a week so I can be grumpy in something else.
Would not have it any other way....IMHO

I recommend the mini copper s. it's unique like the jeep, gets great gas mileage, and is fun to drive. Not a big fan of the instrumentation, much preferred my RX-7 or GTI for that, but for what it is the Cooper S is great. The CRX is good, too, but hard to find these days. I used to have an '89, and loved it. Also keep miles down with the dual sports. I've had a DR650, and now ride a Triumph Tiger 1050, which is a great bike for commuting, and even short road trips. It's a little rough after about 5 hours though.
I use my jeep as a commuter about 40 miles a day and I've driven it from fort polk Louisiana to Seattle twice since I bought it. Some times I switch between my jeep and my 1996 Camaro SS but the Camaro sucks premium gas, sucks in the rain but its fun to drive in the summers

... 140 mile round trip in and out of NYC.
