1st Group up Daniel Trail 2016 (Wet)
I want to give a Special thanks to the guys at "Mud and Blood" for adopting a Lone Wolf JK out on the first day of the season at Uwharrie. I was behind a stock Nissan Titan on street tires stuck on Wolf Den. The mud was so bad it turned an easy trail into a moderate rail or Difficult. I was lending my strap to him and his friend in a Tacoma. When they rolled up.
We helped them with the recovery then they took me in to Join them on their way to Daniel Trail. We made our way through some thick mud to Dickey Bell I have to say it was tough due to it Raining.
Once we made it to the First ledge on Daniel by luck the rain stopped. I was 2nd in line to do it. The TJ with coil-overs made it up the ledge after a few tries.
I had a harder time getting up the ledge. It was slick and there was a small stream of water going down it. After a few tries I made it up the ledge.... I stayed on the throttle too long and almost rolled it with up with my bumper almost on the tree on the right. Once I backed down slowly I made a hard run up to the semi flat area but I slid down the wet rocks and ended up with my Spare to the wall... It cracked my carrier but I was still able to continue. I made another run for it and I was good.
The YJ on 40's and an LS1 tired a harder line but it was too wet. He had to go my way. Then he made a run up to the quasi flat spot before the 2nd ledge but slid down and hit the wall with his front passenger tire and partially lost his bead. It was a loud pop but after 45 minutes of airing it up we got it to reseal.
2nd Ledge we all just crawled up it no problems. The last bit to the summit was harder for me I kept getting getting caught up on large rocks. I ended up just gunning it to keep momentum because it was so slick. Ended up grazing a tree with my hi-lift and rear driver fender minimal damage but I made it to the top.
I have to say Daniel wet is a whole different animal. We hung out at the top for over 2 hours and no one came up except a 4 wheeler from the back side and he said Jeeps were trying to get up the backside but had to turn around due to the Mud.
This Weekend at Uharrie was Epic!!! All this mud is making everything a whole new animal!!!

Looks like fun, we are going up there in the 9th, hopefully things are all dried up by then.
I hear there were 4 roll overs in Uwharrie this past weekend, seems the wet conditions made things more than a bit tough

Yes there were a few. Check out Uwharrie Facebook page there's a pic of a JKU on its side. Daniel is the worst it's been in years the 1st ledge is steeper due to all the traffic. Being wet adds a whole other deminsion to it.
