I heard that the 2011 Telluride Rotary 4x4 Tour was cancelled this year. Does anyone know why?

 

Yes it's been cancelled. I've been a trail leader on "Black Bear Backwards" for this event in the past. I don't know the exact reason for canceling the event. I will be wheeling in Moab this weekend with a member of the Telluride Rotary Club and Ill be able to find some info if you'd still like to know.

I dont live to far away from Telluride, I guess I will do my own Telluride tour

 

I've worked in Telluride the past 18 years and live close as well. I'm going to miss going up Black Bear the wrong way from Telluride once a year, and the Rotary dinner was always great. Might get to do it the wrong way during or scheduled club maintenance day though. I'll run it the standard direction for sure once the wild flower bloom hits Ingram basin.
