On the 17th we went out to 4x4 Life in St. Francisville, LA for the 2019 sweetheart ride. The folks at 4x4 Life and Louisiana 4x4 did a great job putting it together and guiding everyone on the trails. 40-50 jeeps showed up, and they split everyone up into 3 groups (Stock/no experience, modified/experienced, and heavily modified/lots of experience) to make the ride more efficient and fun. Splitting into 3 groups allowed everyone to stay in their comfort zone and/or not be limited by drivers/jeeps at different levels.

It had rained for a couple days before the ride so the trails were very slick. There were a few obstacles where some people had to winch through. One jeep got a little excited and went on the side, but no one got hurt and damage was very minimal. Someone said his jeep was tired from the previous obstacle and just needed a nap.

I don't have many pics because I forgot to change my SD card out before the ride, but I will add more if I get some from someone else.

he said he swung too wide and went too fast. I was about 6 jeeps in front of him. There was a pretty deep rut right there so I guess maybe he got off in there.

 

Bet the right front started up that bank when the left rear dropped into rut.
