4 Wheel'n and Camping near San Diego
Hey, anyone know of some good spots around San Diego to 4 wheel and camp? I know there's Anzo, but went there once and the wheel'n was limited. New to the area.

The Anza-Borrego Desert
There are over 500 miles of Jeep trails in the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, two well run campgrounds and a dozen or so primitive campgrounds. That being said, you can also camp anywhere in the Park you want if you follow the Park rules. My suggestion is that you devote a day to learning about the Anza Borrego Desert State Park which is the largest state park in the lower 48 states. It is 60 miles long and 35 miles wide. Drive to Borrego Springs and visit the Park's Visitor's Center. It is open from 9-5 daily. It is located at the west end of Palm Canyon Road. Buy a good map, about $10. or even better, the Park Guide written by Diana Lindsey, which comes with a very good map, for about $20. It includes every Jeep trail in the Park with details down to the 1/10th of a mile and includes GPS coordinates. Then, go to the "Mall" and find Kendall's restaurant and have lunch. Kendall's is located on the south side of the Mall or the back of the Mall, near the center. Have a good time.
