72,000 Acres in TN
I also have the upper windows to throw in the back when I go on long trips in case of a possible heavy shower. My wife and my 3 year old hate to get wet.
They work as intended, the hard doors seal better.I like them.
[QUOTE=JK-Rubi;1333022]Met up with some Georgia forum members for a weekend of riding at Coal Creek - Windrock ORV Park. Had an absolute blast, and would go back again. Neat place with 160+ miles of trails encompassing everything from gravel roads to very extreme boulder crawling. .
Welcome to Coal Creek Mining, Drilling, Etc., Etc.

This is a Great place to wheel. We went to a Jeep Jamboree here back in April. Two solid days of wheelin and we probably only covered 1/10 of the trails. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks for the pics. They look great.

This place is great fun. I haven't had a chance to get up there since I purchased the Rubi, but i've been twice with some friends from the FJ forums and had a blast. There is really everything from newbs trails to technical boulders climbs.
PS. not quite sure how to post pics properly... but heres some from trail 16

I like the option of keeping the mud out of inside(my tube doors don't do this, I think tube doors are a waste of money) but not having to deal with the full doors.I also think it is less exspensive when a rock hits these then when it hits the hard doors.

Northern half of park.

Southern half of park.

Surveying the next line, and discussing some weird noises coming from beneath this nice Rubi.

This climb was tough (unless of course, you wanted to chance ripping off your right rear fender).

The following pics were taken by ckivy, and are also posted in "The South" area thread we used to coordinate the trip.
Beautiful scenery.

Why it's called Coal Creek.

Only 0.4 miles of this stuff and you finish T39. We looked at our maps for 15 minutes thinking we had made a navigation error.

Wind turbines (I see 5 in this pic).

thanks for posting pics of the map! that place looks amazing, where did u get the map? that is a place i'd like to go a little later in the fall
how many of the 72k acres are used for trails? i've noticed a lot of these places have a lot of acerage, but only use a small amount, b/c the rest of the trails are under development

We are thinking of another trip, possibly back there, in early November (very preliminary at the moment).

Not sure about percentages re land/trail use, but if you look at the map, you'll see gray areas which are off limits due to current mining activity. The rest was pretty much fair game.
In the lead.

Hangin' on.

Lining up on the way to the first trailhead.

Winching on T15. One can see from the view that we're up in the mountains.

Fun trail.
