Adventures on the 395 - Alabama Hills, Reward Mine, Laurel Lakes & Bodie Ghost Town
Last week, we took some time off with the doojers to explore some of the wonderful destinations along the 395 and here are some pics from our trip....

you can physically drive your jeep down into the mine a quarter mile. you could go more but then turning around would be difficult to do. from there, you can hike back further and check out the various side shafts that extend from the main shaft. it does get a bit confusing though as there are so many and some look a bit unstable so you really have to be careful back there.
all in all, we had a GREAT TIME!!

Stunning pictures, places like this just floor me when i look at them. I could sit on that rock where Doojer was for days on end with no desire whatsoever to leave. One of the reasons i wanted my Jeep, was to get to places like that! I hope it comes true someday.

Nice shots.......I like to see native Californians have to shovel a little snow. You should have had my mom with you, she would have opened up that stretch of snow that stopped you.
