In sand air down so you don't abuse the engine and tranny and the jeep will go anywhere you point the wheel.

I go for a week every year, its a gorgeous place to play in the sand. Make sure to bring bug spray and plenty of firewood for night time campfires!

Sorry can't offer any help with recent regulations but in all honesty, bring one can of bug spray PER PERSON, PER NIGHT!! Might even want to allot 2 cans per night

The official website lists the price of the permit, when certain sections are closed (nesting endangered birds) and all of the very specific on board requirements i.e. shovel size... it matters

The wife and I go at least once a week all summer and love it!!! Like everyone else says bring plenty of bug spray and fire wood!!!

Air down, put'er in 4hi and try to stay on the pathway. When parking I like to park with the trunk towards the beach and drive over my pathway a few times to prevent sinking throughout the day. It might be overkill but I haven’t gotten stuck yet.

There is a free air up station when you get back to the main road with dumpsters for your trash.

Enjoy the serenity and dont forget to wave!!!
