Badlands trip 3/13/2011
[QUOTE=Nickit1981;2162038]you can see here I just crept up on a small rock and my tires is pretty high up in the fender. Now imagine me falling hard off a ledge... i would definitely say theres a difference between looking at flex while up on a jack or lift... and watching your jeep flex coming down/up on a cliff.
I totally hear ya Nick. I only have 2500 miles on the Jeep and need to get it sorted for wheeling. This is my first 4x4 but I've been building, racing, and restoring cars for 15+ years. Easiest way I can think to flex it out and check the bumpstop height is at a warehouse with a loading dock that has 3-4ft walls.
Unless you know anyone with a RTI ramp or forklift?

this weekend some of the guys from this past weekend are going somewhere more south.. i however wont be there. Headed back up north to see the family and get some more of my stuff. Ill actually be around you. If you guys go the following weekend there will be a bunch of guys there, probably including myself. It may be a lil chilly to camp still, but you could prolly get a pretty cheap hotel room in that area. Are you guys going for both saturday and sunday? If you guys stayed in champaign you could follow dirtman and myself there. Champaign is about an hour from the badlands in a straight shot pretty much.
