Beach day.
Well.. someone beat me to it... but yes it's a Garvin Track Rack. Speaking to the company... they had plans to put one together as a kit for the new Jeep.... but I beat them to it. As for the owners manual... oh well. I asked the people at the dealership... they were like... go for it. I've had two adults standing up there and no signs of fatigue. I can bounce on the thing without even a little movement.
The rack looks really good.
The only problem I see is it eventually breaking. When stationary, the static load on it can be into the hundreds of pounds but once you start driving the dynamic load increases many a times.
This is still a great idea, so what I would do is add additional supports somewhere under the most load bearing area to the roll bars.
I used a similar technique on my Surco rack and a Liberty. I've had inexcess of 220lbs pounds on the rack, on the trail with no problems. It's rated for 65 lbs. All I did was added 4 additional supports to help distribute the load.
One warning, it's sometimes hard to see fatigue on these hard tops, so when they snap it will all start coming down, but if all you do is brace the hardtop a little on the roll bars, you'll be fine.
