did you notice how many of the ramps are closed? and would you happen to know if the point at Hatteras is open or closed? that's one of the best spots to hit when driving on the beach.

sorry for so many questions. and awesome beach shots!
I was down in June. I stay in the Rodanthe area but we also did okracoke. Some ramps are closed but you still have access to the beach. Not sure how many people were going over the boundaries since than. Everytime someone would go over the boundary they extend more and more. I know there is a website to see what ramps are open and closed. Here it is here http://www.nps.gov/caha/parknews/newsreleases.htm. BTW can't go on the beach with the jeep I think after 10 PM no fires after midnight.

I didn't. I don't use it any, so I just covered it up and use the satellite.

Got some new pictures from my spring trip, with the new tires-n-stuff.
The ocean is much closer than it appears

Cape Hatteras point is open as of now, but just west of it there are closures for shore birds.

Road gets a little sandy near Hatteras Inlet

They thoughtfully provided images for the proper roads for Jeeps

The one on my license plate looks bigger

Big pic near the Hatteras Inlet

Are you running spacers with the new tires?
