I will make it one day use up one of my weeks vacation..... Soooooo many people saying it's so worth it.

You should carry extra gas. A friend of mine was driving it a couple years ago and when they got to their exit at Mineral Bottom, it was flooded. They had to turn around and drive back out at Shafer Switchbacks--basically driving the entire length twice. Surely the same thing happened to some who were on the trail when Mineral Bottom Switchbacks washed out last year. On top of that 200 miles possible, there's about 70 miles (roundtrip) from the nearest gas in Moab to the park entrance, plus another few dozen miles tooling around Island in the Sky's paved sections (unless you want to skip that or do that 70 miles again just to see from above what you've traveled in below).
