Big Bear Forest Fest XVI - "Gold Mountain" Video and Photos!
2013 marked the 16th Annual Big Bear Forest Fest - with Rebel Off Road returning again as a consecutive Platinum Sponsor.
"BBFF" is hosted by the Inland Empire 4 Wheelrs (not a typo) - one of California's preeminent off road clubs. Attendance was at an all time high with an estimated 900 fans showing up in over 470 rigs.
Due to unprecedented turnout by Rebel Off Road fans and friends we were designated our own trail and Rebel Leader Bond Gilmer was given the nod to be the "Gold Mountain 1" Trail Guide. Bond's caravan of Wrangler's (and 1 Bronco) departed Snow Valley Ski Resort early Saturday morning and hit the trail.
Gold Mountain is known as one of Big Bear's elite trails since it offers both stunning views and challenging obstacles. The run group consisted of some heavily modified Jeeps, REBELCON's as we call them, mostly running 40" tires, our bolt-on RECON coilover suspension, superchargers, HEMI's, and plenty of safety equipment.
After all groups returned Saturday afternoon the IE4W clan, led by Wende Owen and Randy Stockberger, held one of California's largest off road raffles. Prizes galore! Axial RC cars were some of the major prizes including Rebel Off Road gift certificates.
We'd like to thank the IE4W for all their work in putting together such a great event. See you in 2014!
