Notes & Photos:
We met at the Big Bear Discovery Center at 9:00 am. All but one person who signed up for the run was there and ready to go. We departed at about 9:38 am, and headed out for the trailhead of Gold Mountain. While we saw several other groups heading to Gold Mtn, once we got to the trail, and began our run, there was only one spot (the first obstacle) where we encountered any type of traffic, and it was only briefly at that.
Getting ready to go at Ty's cabin prior to meeting at BB D.C.:

At the end of Jacoby Canyon (3N61), some of us decided to try our hand at Horsetheif Flats (since none of us had ever done it before). Two original members of our group decided to head back to Big Bear along Highway 18; thus, 9 of us headed across the Highway to run trail number 3.
At the trailhead, the sign stated that Horsethief Flats is a “Most Difficult” trail, so 4 vehicles decided that they, too, would return to Big Bear and enjoy the rest of the day rather than beat up on their rigs.
