Default Big sur???

Heading to Big Sur this weekend and I'm looking for good trails in the area. As it is a "family" vacation involving multiple families, not to mention my JK is still fully stock(not for long!!!), I'm a bit limited on time and perhaps the difficulty of trails I can tackle. All in all, I'm looking for something close to Big Sur that isn't too extreme so I can get this damn thing into some dirt!!! I've had it for a month and I need to get off the pavement!!
Also, if anyone is in the Big Sur area this weekend, hit me up!

We've done the Old Coast Road before, the turn off is right before the Bixpy bridge if you are going south (like R8R Rok said). It really is just a dirt road, nothing crazy, we passed a subaru going the other way. It is really pretty though, takes you up to the top of the mountians and through some Fern Gully style forests. The time we did it we went down to Nepenthe's for lunch, sat out on the back padio and enjoyed the view. Try the Ambrosia Burgers (they are famous for them) and if you are a fan the mojito's are amazing. Not on the menu but they'll make them if you ask nicely. Have fun, should be a nice weekend here :-)

That is great! We're are actually going to Nepenthe on Sunday! Maybe we'll hit that road beforehand. Thanks for the tip on the Mojitos I think by the Bixby Bridge will work. I get off the highway and everyone else gets a nice scenic ride. I'll take what I can get!

Default Old Coast Rd.

Must agree... very nice, easy run. That was the first dirt my Jeep saw too. Have fun!
