Bunce School Road & T33 Plane Crash (Colo)
Not many pics, but last weekend a friend and I went up to Old Bunce School Road. It's an easy trail that parallels the Peak to Peak Highway that runs between Allenspark and Nederland. The Trail starts on Highway 7 and ends up in Camp Dick (trailhead for Middle St. Vrain Rd & Coney Flats). Off of Bunce Road are two more difficult trails - Ironclads and the trail to a crash site where an Air Force T-33 crashed in 1965.
Didn't get a chance to play around on Ironclads, but here's a couple of pics from Bunce and at the crash site.

In all, a fun trail and well worth the trip. Getting to the wreckage requires about a 1/4 mile hike from the end of the trail. It is a little spooky. There are pieces of the airplane, big and small, all over the hill. There is a big engine cowl at the bottom that I didn't hike down to. Both the pilot and the observer were killed in the crash.
