Carnage in the back blogs of Victoria Australia
Yesterday young Yankee Dave a mate of mine with another JK, Jake my son and myself went for a gentle drive around Neerim
After driving tracks that many a lesser vehicle wouldn't even contemplate We decided to head down Youngs Track to the Labtrobe River.
The first obstacle look like a huge bog hole so Dave decided to take the side track

Just over the little hump was a huge hole which no one saw at all and then the track sort off just petered out at went no where

So Dave had to back out the same way he went in

The Hole

The main puddle

Hey Dave whats that lying in the water

A Flare

It almost looks American

Then the really tough rig came through
As we proceeded further down Youngs Track Dave said I remember this little narly section of track that is really good fun
Me being the responsible one and driving the wife's car said I'll wait up on the top section and lend a hand if you need one
I'll be right said Dave driven it before in my old TJ

The Track

Dave already stuck before the narly section

Trying to bring the nose around via winching
Winch cable did snap about this point

Maybe we will try this side of the track

Maybe I'll try the other side.
Unfortunately nothing worked repaired the cable once to only break it again and we had to snatch him out in the Red Beast
Now my dramas started the Locker switch stopped working so I had no power to the compresser
Almost got myself stuck as well only to get free again and give Dave another pull

I happened to be positioned between two trees and while wheel spinng the car slid left and managed to take out the Left Hand Mirror and dent the door
The wife's car
So the overall damage was one Left hand door mirror
Dent in Left hand front door
ARB compressor not working

Yankees Car
Sway bar disconnect not working
Dent in right hand rear door
broken tail light and dent in rear quarter
broken plastic bit off the soft top
three flares removed unintentionally

The walking wounded heading home
Tired, broken, leaning, but certainly not defeated
Overall we had a great day out hitting the trails
