Colorado--08 Stocker on Moody Hill and Crystal Mountain
Went out on Halloween for some fun in my stock '08 on the Moody Hill and Crystal Mountain trails near Masonville, Colorado.
The first obstacle on Moody Hill. It took me four or five tries.

But I did make it.

I was kind of surprised the trails were still open this late in the season, but it's been pretty dry lately. A bit of snow that fell over night was still on the ground on the North sides of the mountains:

This section of whoops was great for flexing out the suspension.

One of two or three larger shelfs on Crystal Mountain. This is my friend in his Jeep.

Here's me in my stocker on the same obstacle. I need to teach my friends how to take pictures.

View from the top of Crystal Mountain.

After that we, hurried down the mountain so we could get back on the maintained dirt roads before night fall.

Did I mention the peak of Crystal Mountain is only 16 miles due west of my house?
Since the snow is down to about 7500 feet, shouldn't be too long before we get dusted on the front range at 5280 feet.

Both lockers were engaged, but the rocks under all four wheels were slick from the snow fall the night before. Also, I'm not the most experienced off-road driver so it took me a while to find the right line and get a feel for how much speed to carry over the rock. My friend in the blue Jeep has a lot more off-road driving experience and made it on his 2nd try.
