A couple of years ago 7 of my friends and myself went exploring up in the mountains to find this cabin that my buddy told us about. We went up there around 11pm or so but we couldn't drive any further up the trail cuz of a locked gate and fence. So we hung out for a few min and then started heading back.
It was a cool summer night so we had the Windows down in both vehicles. I was driving behind my buddy.and then all of a sudden he took off like a bat outta hell and started pre-running. The 4 of us in my vehicle didn't think much of it so we just kept cruising. We drove up about 20-30 yards or so and we all heard the sound of a little girl saying "HELP!.....HELP!"..we all freaked out and hauled a$$ outta there. We didn't want to stop cuz it was late and we were like 50miles from any civilization, we didn't see any vehicles or anyone on.the.trail going up there. We figured theres no way a.little girl would be.up here by herself.
I told my friends that were with me" there is no way the others will believe us that we heard a little girl cry for help.....no way in hell" and they all agreed too.We finally met up with the others like 20 min later and as soon as I was 20 feet from them, all 4 of them jumped out and ran up to us yelling "did you guys freaking here that little girl cry for help".............I seriously just got the goosebumps writing that........
Then.we all started freaking out and til this day, none of us has even been back up there.
That was one of many of my freaky things that I have experienced.

Another time I was wheeling behind Canyon lake and came across a mid-80s suburban with an Airstream trailer parked next to a wash, looked like they had been living there for a long time. It had taken me nearly two hours to get where we were in a jeep, still have no idea how they made it there.

And the for the Superstitions, every single time I was in that area I came across weird stuff.

For those that have never been out there, crazy stuff happens in the Az desert.

The nicest people are bikers on dirt roads. And most have wives and kids. They'd have been fine. You, on the other hand,...depends on if ya had a purdy mouth.....haha.....j/k

Last year I found this at 12,000 feet above sea level, as I approached it, I was preparing myself to find a couple of dead bodies in it.
But nothing in it but beer bottles in the back seat.

Not a jeep trail story, but a trail story you might find amusing.
I grew up in the country but spent my adult life living in town until I finally got my place deep in the woods. Just what I wanted, very secluded, quiet, remote, can t even see the house from the old dirt road.
Shortly after moving in, one morning I decided I had time for a little fishing before work. So I grab a cup of coffee in one hand and fishing pole and tackle box in the other. Its just before dawn, I can barely see my way down the maybe 8 foot wide trail about 80 yards long curving through the trees heading for the pond. I started to get a creepy feeling about half way down the trail when SOMETHING struck my face and latched on to my nose! Scalding coffee went flying, fishing pole and tackle box went flying, tackle scattered all over ground after the box hit. And this THING is still locked onto my nose! I hurt myself twisting and swatting at my face, almost falling to the ground.
Stupid grasshopper!
