Default Crozet, Va. Trip 2/20

Some of us got together for a good day of wheeling down at Crozet. It is privately owned land that opens the trails up to other groups a few times a year. We had a great day that was overcast, but around mid fifties. There were all types of Jeeps there. Here are a few picts to give you an idea of what type of wheeling it is.

If you are interested in the rest of the 197 picts the album is HERE

dang it all to heck. For some reason I thought Crozet wasn't stock friendly. I'll definitely try to make the next one.

Great trip.... lots of damage this time though.

Bent front bumper
tore off fog light
Destroyed front driveshaft boot
dented brand new rear shocks
have a funny popping sound in the rear now

It depends on how you define "friendly". The stock Sahara that was there was skidded out the wazoo. I am riding 33's and pretty skidded and bounced off of every rock you can imagine. Sheered off a valve stem and beat the heck out of the gas tank skid, frame rails, LCA brackets, dent in the muffler. I guess my point is that it is all relative

Dan - although you can do the low blues stock, definitely expect some carnage.

Sounds like I need some more armor. My JK is my daily driver too, so I can't afford to be out of commission.

If you are rolling on 35's then you should be OK. The only thing I would recommend is an Evap canister skid as there are a lot of loose rocks that move when you go over them. I just put one on and I'm glad that I did. It took a shot on the drivers side that might or might not have ripped the canister off. I'm just glad that I don't have to worry about "what if"
