Default Crystal Beach After Ike

i feel so sorry for all those folks in Crystal Beach and the entire Bolivar Peninsula. Not 3 weeks ago my gf and I were enjoying their paradise, now it is gone. I found these pics online.

a Before and After Shot

I know there are a lot of people on JK-Forum that were affected by the storm, hope you are all OK?

Hurricanes are the reason I won't ever buy a house on the beach, anywhere. It's only a matter of time before one appears and wipes everything out.

If you look in the right foreground of the third picture, that black tarp looking thing is called a Geo-Tube. Or thats what it looks like to me. And I've driven past the goofy things down there hundreds of times.

That is what the State of Texas installed to protect homes on the beach from hurricane storm surge.

It doesn't appear like it did it's job very well.

Divorced twice here. I have a Jeep so I cannot afford a wife as well.

Good Luck!
