Default Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway

We went through the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway recently with the club, this is a 100 mile overland loop through Kentucky that's in and around the Daniel Boone National Forest. Great time and fantastic trail system.

I went over that rock pictured on your video link and heard grinding gnashing of the bottom of my Jeep like never before. But I got over it thanks to a good spotter, pulled up and looked at the bottom of my JLUR to see the carnage and.............Darned near nothing! I was all over one cross member but everything else looked unscathed! I did watch a guy knock the crap out of his front diff cover, so because of that trip and that specific area, I added a Rancho rock slider to the front of my JL and an ARB rear diff cover. I then put the Rancho sliders on both ends of my JK.

That's a great trip! Well worth it. I'll be heading back to do it again at some point! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah my frame dragged on that one and made a horrible sound... must be something about the rock, lol, it sounds worse than it actually is! HD diff covers are definitely a must for this loop! We'll definitely be going back at some point as well, really enjoyed it.
