Death Valley -- September 2012 Trip
It's a great place. We go there as often as we can -- about twice a year lately.
You're correct
. Marble Bath is a great laugh, but not easy to find. We went on several trails, but the long run was Eureka dunes, Dedeckera Canyon, Steel Pass, Warm Springs, a short bit of Saline Valley, Lippincoptt Grade, the Race Track, then Ubehebe Crater to Stove Pipe wells for much needed fuel -- And then to the Echo Pass trail after stopping at Furnace Creek. Carried two gallons extra fuel, and was glad we did.
We did a similar trip in reverse. Hunter, Lippincott, Saline Valley Hot Springs, Steele Pass, Dedeckera, Eureka Dunes, all while doorless.
Last time I'm doing that, lol. Heard South Pass is pretty washed out right now.

After hitting the pavement, we stopped at a turnout and talked with a couple of nice guys in doorless TJ's who were hot, dry, dusty, plus wind/sun burned. It sounded like they'd barely been out on any trails and were heading to Nevada for a motel and a bath. My wife enthusiastically bounced out of air-conditioned comfort in our Jeep to show them some pics on her camera from our previous few days on the trail. As we were talking, one of their dogs threw-up in the back of one of the TJ's from the heat after drinking some water
