I was just out driving around today and stumbled upon an area up by the Delaware Water Gap/Stokes State Forest. The road I was on was pretty much just gravel because I had the wife and baby with me. I did see some trails off of that road. They looked like they were only 1 step above a gravel road, but for NW New Jersey thats pretty good. I have no idea how long those other roads were, but the gravel road I was on went for miles...

There is also some free public shotgun ranges out in that area and lots of hiking/camping that are worth visiting. If anyone wants more details or wants to head up there one day send me a PM and ill try to explain better where I was...

 

I'd be curious to learn more.... I'm always looking for some place to take my boys and dogs hiking. New territory is welcome and good to have in mind.

The road was just up past the Flatbrook Roy WMA by Stokes State Forest. Its an unpaved gravel road with a few trails that shoot off of it...

 

i m down for exploring jmat! i know a spot in bloomingdale my friend took me. not sure if its legal or not, but there is some serious terrain up there! its by the rock quarry right on 287 if u know the area... thats where i destroyed my stock oil pan and had to get the benchmark. some stuff was more than my jeep can handle yet. boy had a tj with 37's.

 

WHERE?!?! I live in butler and need to see this!

 

There seems to be a lot of interest in hitting these trails...we should get a ride together...

the entrance is down the dead end street that bloomingdale animal shelter is on...
havent been up there since the winter..
