Sounds like FUN, How would you say these trails are, I (wife and kids) would love to join. I ask because my jeep is still stock, less than Rubicon. I think the tires measured 30 inch's on 17's and I have no lit(YET).

Traildamage.com ranks them as 3-4, which is pretty mild. However, I've never ran either of them. check the first post for the link and you be the judge. I personally think you'll be fine as the people that post on traildamdage showed images of stock 2 dr and also a stock Kia. I know you can get up from Jefferson in a car if you wanted, its the north side that is a little harder, but not much..

do you have some recovery gear in case? I do not have any at this time.
(which is why I was hoping others would go).

 

I'll be there guys... I'm coming up from Parker with my wife and daughter, she's 2 years old, so her and your son would probably get along. If anyone wants to drive up together from the Parker, Highlands Ranch, Centennial or littleton area, PM me and we can plan a staging area to meet up and drive up to the meetup spot.

Oh and as for recovery gear... I have a high lift jack in case someone needs one, and I have a recovery strap as well. Dont have a winch installed yet but hopefully will be doing that soon. Though I doubt we'll need anything more than a recovery strap.

Also, my wife asked that I add a disclaimer....
We will be traveling with a 1 year old, so frequent stops and the potential to turn back at any time is a possibility depending on how he handles being in the jeep for this length of time.... Others are bring kids too, so we'll play it by ear...

 

I'll update the first post too....but..

we are going to be meeting at University and County Line at the gas station at the southwest corner, by Chili's at 9 to head up... or we'll met in Jefferson at 10:15-10:30...

Hey All.. Bad News...

As you can tell from my time stamp I'm up early.. My son came down with croup cough at 3 am. Unfortunately I'm going to have to back out. High dry altitude for a little guy with respiratory issues is not a good idea. If I don't hear from everyone by tomorrow morning I'm still going to drive over the meeting place to let you know the news. I'm really sorry and still look forward to meeting everyone.

there's a chance we may try to go up next week, but it is way too early to tell.

I hate to do this, but you know how it is with kids. Thanks for understanding
