Dusy Ershim Trail
I know there are lots of pictures of this place. My wife and I spent the last five days up in the Sierra National Park hitting the trails. Fairly new to offroading and not interested in damaging the vehicle I would need to drive 400 miles home, I knew I wouldn't go far into the trail. I had to take a peak though. The trail is pretty fun for about the first 1/4 to 1/2 mile. After that it gets INSANE! The pictures I have seen, including my own, do not provide a good representation of the difficulty of the rocks. There is a large pile of rough stuff that you have to turn through and the rocks have lots of scrapes on them. I hiked it in a bit and didn't have my camera. After i got back to where my wife was waiting we took a couple shots of the moderate stuff. I sure would like to see somebody go through the trail.
I really hoped to make it to the Chicken Rock I have seen pictures of. I had to stop short though, so my Chicken Rock is a bit smaller than you may have seen...

The Dusy is a really, really long hard trail. But I bet in a year or so you will be rolling stuff like in the pictures you posted!!
You would be amazed at what your Rubi will do stock, let alone modified!

I would suggest the steering stabilizer relocation kit and engine/trans/transf case skid plates.
A recurring theme in the rocks is that when you get hung up and your tires start to spin, a tire will walk sideways off of a ledge, dropping you hard into something. You don't want that "something" to be your oil pan.

small world...i just got home from running the dusy this morning...we took a full seven days and saw plenty of carnage on the way....i would say running the rubicon is a good starter to prep yourself for this one...also the ability to repair your own vehicle...especially your axles and a good satellite phone as cell phone service is pretty much non exsistant...also i would suggest leaving loved ones at home since you very well likely may want to kill each other by the time this trip is done...on the other hand if you really want to test the breaking point of both you and your rig then this trail should be a must on your list...the views are breathtaking and the dusy by far is one of my favorite trails
