Good deed for the day...

Default Good deed for the day...

Went for a short Wharton trip today, and came across a fallen tree blocking the trail. Obviously I did what any good Jeeper would do and rather then go around the tree we moved it out of the way. It's hard to see in the pics, but the roots and some other trees made it such that we had to pull the tree in the opposite direction of where we were. In retrospect we could have pulled it towards us, but it would have done some decent damage to the immediate area as far as young trees etc, and figured this was a more environmentally friendly approach. Also a good excuse to use the snatch block. A few pics below:

Really not a big deal and it wasnt a big move or anything, but I'm sure it made life easier for the next guys coming through.

Anyone else have some good deed on the trails stories/pics?

Oh there was some water... Problem is I had the fiancée taking pics from the backseat. In retrospect I should have had her get out for some action shots. Oh well just an excuse to go back... Monday anyone?
