good place to go play in the snow with my dogs in or near the san diego mens
iN or near the san diego mtns. looking to avoid the crazy flatlands who swarm the mens at the first sign of snow any suggestions? idyl wild maybe? palomar mtn? prefer more off the beaten track places

Also, back to that YouTube channel, there is a whole series of videos from 2014 if you look there. Finally, if you read in this sub-forum a few posts down you'll see a couple different threads on Anza Borrego. Suggest checking them out because there may be folks in your area you can meet up with for a trip.
BTW: Just so you know, this subforum is actually for trip reports after a trip is completed (don't worry, people ignore that all of the time). A lot of folks coordinate trips in the the staging area subforums. So you might also check in your area subforum (SoCal) to see if you can link up with folks for trips or other trip ideas.
