Grand Teton National Park (Wyoming Rocky Mts.)
This week we decided to "play tourist" and enjoy Grand Teton National Park in our JK with the Freedom top off. The weather was fantastic but we did notice smoke from the California fires slowly creating haze in the air as the day wore on. We are located south of Yellowstone and it is said we have more wild animals seen by the average visitor than any other park. I hope you can come to Wyoming and enjoy one of our country's greatest National Parks. Here is a sample of what you can see.
The snow is melting from the snow capped peaks and is rushing down the mountain side tumbling over rocks and cascading down beautiful waterfalls to eventually fill the streams and the Snake River.
Mt. Moran
String Lake
Balsam Root flowers blossoming at Lupine Meadows.
Jenny Lake
The Tetons from Lupine Meadow.
Jenny Lake from a different view point. The air is getting hazy from California smoke drifting in.
Here is Jackson Lake, the largest of the many lakes in the park. I hope you enjoyed this little tour of the park. Everything is still lush and green with lots of flowers and baby animals. It won't be long and the Aspens will be shades of yellow, gold and salmon. Every season here is spectacular.
