Do you have a larger socket that almost fits over the locking lugnut?
If you have that and a Big Frickin Hammer, you pound the larger socket onto the locking lugnut and back it off.

No we don't have any tools other than the tire iron that comes with the Jeep.

A trail run with no tools???

That's just not the thing to do, unless your asking for trouble.

That rig will be there until you get some tools on site

I'll save the lecture for another time.
Don't waste daylight trying to cook something up.
Call someone and have them bring you an impact socket that will need to be beat onto the locking lugnut and a big hammer.

See if the tire iron fits over the lock at all. You could try pounding that over it.

Well we ended up finding a friend who has the same key lock. The third member of our party went to go get it.

I find it absolutely amazing that the one place you turn to for help are the people sitting at home all over the country staring at their computers. Lesson learned though I take it. Better luck next time.
