Default I'll take a Jeep.... On the rocks!

So I have abused my Rubicon on almost every surface you can possibly find around here and it has performed beyond my expectations everytime, but yesterday i decided I was going to find some rocks.... nothing crazy but I wanted a big rock garden to see what this Jeep can really do in it home enviroment. So I found a river that is pretty much dried up to a creek (not reall but the river is down to about half its original size) any ow the entire recessed shore line is nothing but big rocks ontop of big rocks I would say between 20" to 50" diameter rocks and obsticles with a few small logs thrown in every once and awhile.

I put her in 4lo disconecteds the sway bar and went to town WITHOUT the lockers engaged. I went everywhere I wanted and completely surprised myself. I went down onto the rocks and kept crawling over the most difficult lines i could find until I hit a sandy beach and some younger folks about 16-18 and they were all laughing and were completely amazed. I asked them how much further I could continue down before the river widened again and they were surprised I made it as far as I did from the direction I came from, any how they said there is a bank with a deep drop off only aout 5 mins around the corner so my best bet would be to cross the river and get to the other side then when I pass the cliff ccross back over and continue. So I did, at first when the water came into the cab from under the doors and I could see the HUGE rocks I had to climb and they were wet and slippery I thought to myself "I will be stuck in about two minuites" but no the jeep kept crawling and dominating everything in it's path. After seeing what my jeep did I am sure at least one of those kids are going to own a Jeep one day after seeing what I crossed.

After clinbing down the river for about an hour and a half i decided I had enough banging around and going so slow so I decided to climb the big ass rocks up a small cliff and onto flat dirt ground again. Needless to say i am not a rock climber and I perfer trails and mud but it was fun and challanging and amazing. a spotter would have been awsome I think I would have hit less rocks with the undercarrage but other than a slight bend in my rear lower shock mount bracket I came out unscathed.... The skid plates will tell you otherwise. And hey my evap canister was still there when I got home

Sorry for the no pics but I didnt have a camara and the kids were gone so i couldnt give them my email (they were video taping me crossing the river)

Any how it was awsome and I can see now why rocks are so addictive a small patch can offer hours of entertainment if you dont mind being all shook up!
