Default Iowa Trails

1. I'm new to this whole forum thing.
2. I just bought a 2012 wrangler sport jk. I'm from Des Moines, Iowa and I am looking for some 4x4 trails/ off-roading trails. Not looking for anything extreme, just looking for fun. Let me know if anyone knows anywhere to go! Thanks

I know it isn't as crazy as a park or anything but near you I know of a good amount of dirt roads in South Central Iowa and North Central Missouri. With a little research you can have a nice mild day of wheeling taking you through some nice areas. Click image for larger version

Thank you. If you could give me those dirt roads or a general area, that would be great. I've tried googling a bunch and everyone says find a guy with some land, which I don't have. I have a stock Sport anyway so I'm not looking for anything too crazy, but have some fun. Let me know! Thanks for the reply!

That book will show you all the roads in your state. Also check you DNR website to see if you have Off Highway Vehicle Routes established.

I would recommend you join a club. There are a couple places near you (Knoxville and Oskaloosa) where clubs wheel.
