Default Jackson Meadows Resevoir

I just got back from a week long camping trip at Jackson Meadows resevoir. It is located north east of Truckee Ca. If you don't know where that is....It is north of Tahoe. The area has an endless supply of trails to get lost on, most of which end up at some lake or another. Thank you BYUCOUG for the use of your GPS!!!!!! I ended up wheelin over 300 miles in the dirt. Unfortunately I was by myself so there are only a few photos and I was pretty mild. Not only because I was by myself but I had to toad my JK 600 miles back home. I was surprised at how many jk's I saw on the road while in tow. However, NO WAVES!!!! NOT ONE!!!! I came accross 1 black Jk Rubicon loaded to the tilt for camping. It belonged to Jay in the Bay area. If you see this. "Nice Rubi Jay".

Here are a few pics and a link to myproject-jk album

Great pics. A little kid with a fishing rod says it all! I am also amazed how many more JKs I see every day. Back in Feb it seemed like seeing one was rare. Now a day doesn't go by when I don't see a few.

That is a beautiful area! I grew up in the little podunk town of Loyalton, about 20 minutes from there. Next time if you get a chance head up highway 89 to 49, up and over the Yuba Pass and get up into the Lakes Basin area, about 20 times more beautiful and about 100 times more trails. If you have a USGS map you can actually take a great trail that is marked from Jackson Meadows over to Bassets Station. Great ride!

Nice pics Clackey. Sounds like you had a great time. Did you see any crazy trails?
I can't imagine how much work you have to catch up on. You've got over 1,400 posts over a 9 month period. That's about 40 a week. Now get back to work! And I want to see some humor damnit!
