It's VERY peaceful up there. We spent about 5 hours up there and saw 1 other jeep and 1 motorcycle until we came back down and ran into 3 others headed up.
I'm pretty lucky,, I live at 1200 ft and can be on the trails and up to 4000ft in about a half hour. I have 3 of the better trail areas within 30 min of my front door. And the wild Rouge River is 10 min away.

Very beautiful! This to me is what owning a jeep is all about. Getting out and exploring our beautiful country!

Question:
Is this the Garmin GPSMap 60CSx? If so how'd you get it to display the numbers so big? And with just those three numbers?

Yes it is... page throgh to the trip computer page, hit menu and it will show BIG NUMBERS on the menu if it is currently on small and visa versa. Just curse to the big numbers and hit enter. It will only show 3 at a time when on big number mode. Of course you can change up what 3 you want to show.

Well,,, I like the looks,,, they have done very well in the mud so far,,, I'm in Oregon so they have been on there share of wet roads and perform well,, I was surprised that they have done as well as they have in snow and on some ice.
As far as noise,,, I don't think they are bad but keep in mind that I have been driving diesel pickups for YEARS,,,,, so noise is in the ear of the beholder
I'm happy that I picked them.

Been up Quartz Creek many times, back in my ODF days. I was born and raised in Grants Pass, sure do miss it. I left there in '93 for the Air Force. I still go back, usually in the Summer, every year. I really miss the outdoors there, and the wheeling is awesome!

And when they say "it's the climate", they're right. I've lived all over the globe and have yet to find a place that has as perfect weather as that area. I'm strongly considering moving back next year.
