Default Loch Lomond Lake - Alice, CO - 07/18/09

Great day for fishing, to bad nothing was biting

This was a great trail, another first time for me. Went up with my brother and his Grand Chero. The trail to the lake can be a bit difficult for stock vehicles. Jeeps handled it like champs though. I did find a suzuki wagon of some sort at the top. Would have loved to see that thing go up

The terrain was amazing, pictures dont do justice. This trail also has plenty of camp sites that I will have to make a plan on checking out later this year.

Enjoy...........

Start of trail head, airing down

Parked at the east end of the trail

We drove all this way for the lake and I only got one pic of it, this is the east end of the lake. There is a beautiful water fall on the other side. Ill have to remember to take pics on the next trip. The lake itself is very big and nestled in the mountains nicely

Im not sure, but as you make your way to trail head you pass a sign that does say St. Mary's Glacier and the altitude. So its possible . Either that or the glacier is near by. I had a friend tell me he ski'd the glacier a few weeks ago and it was in the same area.
