Looking for other places in the country to "dune" with the JK other than Silver Lake here in Michigan.

Thanks.

You did say "in the country" without limiting it, so there is Little Sahara near the Oklahoma panhandle. There's a current thread on it running in Trails and Tails right now. Here's some video, as well (haven't been there personally, but it's on my "got to do that someday" list):

Hmm. Larger than this?

That's Star Dune in Great Sand Dunes National Park, and it's 750 feet tall. Not sure if it's the tallest, but it's pretty tall. Some argue that those at Eureka Dunes in Death Valley are taller. Of course, no wheeling at Great Sand Dunes (on the dunes themselves), but it's great fun to hike to the top and slide/board back down!

Okay, then no wheeling there. Okay, no one will be looking (unlike at Great Sand Dunes). However, the policy of JK-Forum is to be good off-roaders, so we shouldn't be suggesting a location like that.

Been duning since the 80's and still think the Oregon coast is best , Florance,Wincester Bay,North Bend great dunes and not as dang hot as Glamis
and the sun sets can't be beat. Now that I think of it the North West is all great.
