Make it at Rubicon Trail from Loon Lake to Tahoe -> one way direction
You must have caught my post prior to editing.

I realized that last photo was at the top.
We didn't stop because it was very smokey (almost unrecognizable being unfamiliar with the trail) ...and Sean (nor I) really didn't want to get stuck behind a huge line of Jeeps. (Sorry guys if we wrecked a cool photo op
)

The smoke was unbelievable -like pea soup. It kind of thwarted the desire for photos...and I was just in a hurry not to get stuck for the day in the lineup of hundreds of Jeeps
Don't worry - Part II - next year - will do it again Rubicon Trails! re-do - take pictures at rubicon springs beyond mountains with your mighty JK Jeep!
Why not another trip THIS year?

After reading your post and doing the trail, I think the only thing needed is a little more gas tank skid clearance. It sounds like Full Traction can upgrade you to a 4" kit fairly easily. I know the gas skid is the main place my Jeep took a beating, but it held up well. With your set-up you would be able to gain an inch of clearance by going up to 37s with a 1" body lift assuming no rubbing. I know you said you wanted to stick with 35s though.

Yes, I was thinking about upgrade the 4" Full Traction kit which can be done and add 1" body lift and get new bigger tire - 37s - but $ $ $ - maybe I have to wait until 2009 - already burn my $ into JK - over 14 k so far
It will do just fine during part 2
For now enough - save for 2009 but will go to MOAB during Spring Break 2009 for SURE!!!!
Last spring 2008 - we had a blast time at MOAB and we want go back there again with different trails - already gone 10 trails and next year will go different trails.
Stop looking at your receipts!

I put mine in a drawer only for emergencies!
Theoretically, if you are not rubbing with 35s, you could do a 1" body lift for about $125-150 and fit 37s. You might want to wait til your 35s are completely worn though. I still have about a year of tread on my 35s and then I'll be going to 37s with a complete suspension
It's hard to give up the simplicity and effectiveness of this BB now though since it did so well last week.
