Hey guys, heading up to the mtns for the first time with the 10' Sahara.

Wondering about mill creek road in Vail, CO

Seems pretty tame for a slow cruise up the mountain. Anyone hit it? Is it still open, the traildamage.com report is from 2007, any cost?

I ran/biked this last summer and some of the ruts had been fixed. There is probably still snow in a spot or two near the top right now.

Sometimes its closed for the Elk in the spring, and I'm not sure when it opens.

But, you could probably get close to the top of Benchmark in a stock jeep. I've seen stock pick-ups close to the top during hunting season.

Looking at last years pics i ran it beginning of August, but you shouldn't see much snow if any, the trail is easy and offers some great views. There are some other fun trails right around Vail as well if you have time.

When are you coming out? I'm in East Vail would love to have an excuse to get out more.
