Offroading in Louisiana
Anyone here from the South Louisiana area know any place to go get a little muddy? Possibly the spillway? Nothing too wild, I'm not running a lift and just have the stock 32" Goodyears.

If you really want to get muddy try the Louisiana MudFest location.

Along with their annual mudfest they usually have something going every month but be advised that 6 months after I attended the mudfest I was still trying to get all the mud out from under my jeep.

There's some places near Henderson where you can play around on the levees. But yeah, if get in some deep slop and you're not careful to clean it off quickly, it'll take forever to get everything out.
Since this is my daily driver, I decided that bogging around in deep mud just isn't worth the effort. Unfortunately, I don't know of much else to do around south Louisiana.

Have you seen louisianaoffroad.com ? There are a few clubs in our area. Personally I belong to LA4x4. They do monthly rides, some in the state and some out and are a very responsible group to be with. Having a stock vehicle is a welcome thing on their rides cause there is always someone to help you along when it gets challenging. They just require tow points on front and rear.
