Thanks for the welder info... I'll have to save up, but that is something will have to be in my trail bag for sure!! the specs are pretty amazing. even running off one battery it seems very stout, 3 batteries and you can weld 3/4" thick!! that's insane, my 220v MIG can't even do that!

Glad yo guys had fun and had the Ready Welder with you! can't beat welding on the trail.... that's just awesome.

believe me, i'm still kicking myself for not having got one sooner especially after having as many breaks as i have had and have seen other have that could have been easily fixed with one.

yup, it sure is a cool setup and with some flux core or a small bottle of gas, you can make some really nice welds with it too.

I'm gonna have to save up to buy one too! At least with my type of luck I'll need it!

I just looked them up on ebay. affordable and worth the investment.

I just saw one that runs off of 12v-36v.

I will be getting one to play it safe. My luck, I will buy one and never break anything.

Default Welder

Five years ago I broke a spring purchase on my CJ7 about 40 miles from no where and thought I was screwed. When one of our guys says he's got this new fancy welder and he whips out the same unit Eddie has and we weld it up. 30 minutes later we're off again. I bought one the next week -it really is one of the most useful tools to have along. Don't leave home without it!

I am ultra paranoid now...what if the welder breaks!???

perhaps a welder for the welder.

My old High School Baseball coach use to tell me to put a glove on my glove whenever I let one get past the plate haha!

All things aside..better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it
