Project-JK Kavanaugh Ridge Fall Colors Run
Being that we got off the Rubicon trail a day earlier than was planned, WOLette and I decided to take our time coming home, take a side route or two and enjoy the Fall colors. Here are some of the pics that we took along the way.
Here's a shot of the Lower Blue Lakes where we stopped to have some lunch. The water level was way down this time of year but, it made for a beautiful shoreline....

Down in the Hope Valley, we stopped along the side of the highway by Sorenson's where the fall colors were a glow in the sunlight....

Near the town of Bridgeport, we pulled off highway 395 to checkout the aspens a blaze with color as well as some of our favorite places to visit in the Sierras....

On the way up to the Kavanaugh Ridge, we stopped at one of our favorite un-named lakes to rest and cool off....

Being so late in the year, the lake was way down but, still very clear and pretty....

Shot of lil' Nemo from the other side of the lake....

On top of the Kavanaugh Ridge 11,000 feet up....

Looking out towards West Lake, Green Lake and East Lake....

Looking further south out towards the Hoover Lakes and Gilman Lake....

A glacier we like hiking up to near Dunderburg Peak....

And finally, a shot of lil' Nemo as we made our way back to her....
