Thumbs up Project-JK Moab Easter Jeep Safari 2008 - DAY 4 & 5

I apologize for not getting these up sooner. For Day 4, SDMF, toad, bullfrog, Aaron, Wayne, Kat, LBracket, Lauren, WOLette and I headed out to Canyonlands to do Elephant Hill and didn't get back in till late that evening. Off all the trails that I have run in Moab to date, this is by far one of the most beautiful. Here are some pics from our trip...

Toad taking a pic over at Newspaper Rock...

Close up shot of the petroglyph's at Newspaper Rock...

bullfrog and SDMF topping off their tanks with $5 a gallon gas at Needles Station...

Wayne and bullfrog airing down while toad takes pics before making our way up Elephant Hill...

Shot of some of the many pools of water we came across along the way...

Another shot with 'Needles' in the background...

Lining up at the Elephant Hill trailhead...

Making our way up the first set of tight switchbacks...

Half way up, you can see Wayne in the distant making the necessary 3-point turn in order to continue his way up the shelf road with toad and bullfrog in the foreground...

Lining up before the big descent....

Sign warning of the trail ahead...

Lbracket and Lauren making their way down the steep shelf road - SDMF and me in the distant...

Toad, bullfrog, Wayne, Kat and Aaron making their descent...

This very narrow section of trail required that you pulled in your driver side mirror to prevent it from getting ripped off by the rocks...

A couple of group shots of everyone in the crack...

bullfrog, Kat and Wayne hiking around between some of the amazing cracks in the boulders...

Our JK's looked like toys amongst the massive rock formations....

View from the Devils Kitchen campground looking out towards some needles...

Groupshot of everyone under a massive rock...

View from the top of the Silver Steps...

Lbracket and Lauren posing for a shot in a narrow crack at the Silver Steps...

SDMF coming down the Silver Steps followed by LBracket and Wayne...

Wayne, Kat, Aaron, Lbracket and Lauren hiking out to the Colorado and Green River Confluence overlook...

View standing at the edge of the Colorado and Green River confluence overlook...

Close up of the Colorado and Green River coming together...

Me coming down a ledge on our way back to the trailhead...

Here toad and bullfrog showing how much steeper this drop looks in a 2-door...

Sunset shot as we were just finishing up airing up our tires for the long drive back to Moab...

Special thanks goes to SDMF and WOLette for providing many of the photos that you see. If you would like to see all of our photos from this amazing trip out to Canyonlands, please click on the link below:

Default Moab Easter Jeep Safari 2008 - DAY 5

Much of Day 5 at the Moab Easter Jeep Safari 2008 was spent helping out Full Traction set up their display over at the vendor show. After we were done, our regular group decided to do a quick sunset run up Hell's Revenge with Steve Kramer from Full Traction Suspension and Mike Denton Jr. from SOLID Axle. Unfortunately, this was a 'quick' run and so we didn't get to take as many pics as I would have liked to. But, here are a few that I was able to snap off...

The gateway to Hell's Revenge...

Group shot on top of one of the many fins we had to traverse...

SDMF working his way up Tipover Challenge...

Here's Aaron making his way up...

and LBracket...

The trail became quite tight on our way back down...
