Thumbs up Project-JK Niagara Rim Run 2011

With the exception of last year, making a summer run up to Niagara Rim had always been an annual tradition for us. It was an opportunity to get away from the crowds, get up into the Sierra's, take in the fresh air, play on the rocks and have a good time camping with our NorCal friends. Fortunately for us, we were able to renew this tradition last weekend and to make things even better, we were even able to bring out some of our SoCal friends with us as well. Here are some pics from our trip.

Meeting up with the SoCal gang at Telly's in Castaic...

Stopping in Sonora for some last minute supplies and gas, Stuka and his wife just happed to see us and stopped by to say hi...

After setting up camp at Niagara Rim, it was time to crack open the bottle of Honey!!

Thumbs up Parting is such sweet sorrow...

Parting is such sweet sorrow...
What a bummer - time to pack up and button up and put out the fire...

Deciding to take the 395 back home, we made a few stops along the way to take in the amazing views the Sonora Pass has to offer...

Taking one for the team - On our way home from Niagara Rim, Moochie was tailgunning for our convoy and, was ultimately the one who got pulled over for not having mudflaps...

I'd like to give a BIG thanks to everyone who joined us on this run. I know it's a long haul out there and I can only hope that you had a good time. Certianly, we did and more than the great wheeling, it was because it was spent with all of you. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Great photos. Was a lot of fun. I have a bunch of video of the rock pile that should be going up tonight at some point.

Unfortunately I didn't get any video of photos of the second group. But I think the other guys did.
