Restored a little faith in humanity!
On Thursday 24 July, a friend and I met up to go wheelin in our Jeeps. He took me somewhere I hadn't been yet (undisclosed location). It was a blast, and I was putting my Jeep and new body armor to the test, and he was doing some pretty crazy stuff as well, that I wouldn't even do in my Jeep (considering it is still brand new and worth about 40Gs or so at the moment). I still did some stuff that not too many other people would even think about doing, just check out my San Marcos Album. Anyway, the evening was going great, having a blast exploring new places and new trails, when we got to a really bad spot that my friend said that he broken his Jeep in the past ... Well that means only one thing, and that is that you have to conquer what broke you before. I took a pretty good vid clip of him doing just that (even with his lockers out of commission). Once he got past the part that broke him before I hopped in from (spotting/filming), to ride up to the top and back down (my jeep was parked down trail, due to my longer wheel base I wasn't going to risk it). Well about 75 meters past the hard part, he went into an unavoidable deep rut and slipped a beed on his tire, which resulted in it coming off of his rim. Needless to say, that is a pretty crappy thing to happen to you while wheeling. Most of the time that wouldn't be a show stopper, just throw on the spare right? Well, here is the thing. He didn't have a spare due to the fact of recently installing a tow bar for his new jetski, causing him to have to remove his back bumper with tire carrier. Well he had to limp it down to a flatter spot on the hill so he could get it on the jack. Since we were running out of day light, he jacked it up and removed the rim/tire, grabbed what he needed, and locked up the rest, and we walked back down to my Jeep which wasn't too far away. We headed off the hill, and started our trek. I had to stop off at the house to take the dogs out, and fill my tires back up (I run at 40psi, but aired down to 10psi for the trails). From there we went to his bosses house to grab the key to his work (where his spare was). Went there, loaded up his spare in my Jeep and headed back out to the trails to get his Jeep. I didn't bother airing back down, and just took it really easy back up the hill. Got to a good spot, and we started "transporting" his tire up the hill by hand, carrying, rolling, pushing, grunting and sweating. Keep in mind that it is about 11pm at this point. We get to his Jeep and he starts to freak, yelling someone had been messing with his Jeep while we were gone, and sure enough, when we got to it, the rim and tire were back on it! Not only was the tire back on the Jeep, but it was fixed and inflated! Some kind soul must have come along with the proper tools, and onboard air, and put 2 and 2 together and decided to help. They didn't leave any traces at all, other than fixing and remounting the tire. We tossed his spare in the back of his Jeep and headed back down for paved roads. I didn't get home til around midnight, and had to get up a few hours later and head to work. Totally worth it though, despite what happened, I had a blast. Besides, all of that is just part of wheelin. If you go out there and don't EXPECT something to happen, then you are going to be in for a dissappointment when it does. I always EXPECT something to go wrong or break with what I have been putting my rig through more recently, and when it doesn't, then the day was just that much better. At any rate, that act of kindness by someone has restored my faith in humanity just a little more.

there is nothing like it. people going out of there way to help someone out. (believe me i know, thanks eddie, sdmf, smack2020) and to have it done while you're not even there. that is just awsome, just awsome.
