Thanks for all the input I just got the books in. What should I bring with me on the trails to support the jeep. I'm thinking an air compressor some extra oil anything else?

When in Moab, you should also check out the BLM field office.
The Wells's book has lots of trails but there are many more that you can run that are not in there. Plus, they can give you an update on trail conditions.

Engineer and Imogene passes in SW Colorado. Won't be hot like Moab. Spectacular scenery.

There is a little known secret about the grand canyon you may want to consider. On tribal lands there is a road that a jeep can take to the bottom of the grand canyon. You can dip a wheel in the Colorado river and say you've been to the bottom. You need tribal permission and a permit, but that runs only about 15 dollars. The last 2 miles of the road are underwater, but only about 8 inches or so.

There are a couple of us from Louisiana doing the same thing. We should be there on May 8th. When are y'all heading up?

Default Me Too

Going to be in Moab Saturday night, leaving there Tuesday.

Squeezing a couple days in on my way to Arizona to my son's wedding.

Still all stock Rubicon and have family with so not looking to do anything extreme but looking for mild trails with spectacular scenery for a couple days.

Recommendations? I've been reading what I can but honestly it all runs together after a while and just get's confusing.
